Brett Kuiper
Brett, our general manager, has a BA in music from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, where he
played in the local symphony. He counts
his two daughters among his favorite students.
Kate Burt
Kate studied music while earning an art degree from California Baptist University. She teaches all levels from beginning to advanced piano.
Wayne Tester
Wayne got a degree in music from Appalachian State University and immediately moved to Nashville, where he enjoyed a very successful career as an award-winning songwriter.
Esther Tester
Esther returned home to Alaska recently from Nashville, where she spent 20 years teaching piano and voice while publishing over 600 original songs.
Anthony Lotito
Anthony has degrees in music and psychology and is a teacher with the Anchorage School District. He teaches beginning to advanced piano, as well as beginning guitar, bass and ukulele.
Shelby Kochendorfer
Shelby has a degree in music education from UAA. She teaches piano, flute, violin and viola.
Megan Wohrle
Megan took private lessons as a child and went on to become active in a series of worship bands. She’s presently studying recording technology in preparation for an album of her original songs. She teaches piano, guitar and voice.
Mariah Yurman
Mariah learned to play piano, guitar and violin at Alaska School of Music, and has returned to us to teach after completing a degree in psychology at the University of Denver.
