Kate Burt
Kate studied music and voice while earning an art degree from California Baptist University. She teaches beginning to advanced piano and voice.
Wayne Tester
Wayne got a degree in music from Appalachian State University and immediately moved to Nashville, where he enjoyed a very successful career as an award-winning hit songwriter and music educator. He teaches piano, songwriting and computer music production.
Brett Kuiper
Brett has a BA in music from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, where he
played in the local symphony and taught music in public school. He counts
his two daughters among his favorite students.
Esther Tester
Esther returned home to Alaska recently from Nashville, where she spent 20 years teaching piano and voice while publishing over 600 original songs.
Brad Hamilton
Brad has degrees in music and in teaching from UAA, and works as a
teacher with the Anchorage School District. He teaches piano, guitar,
ukulele, bass, flute and clarinet.
Emily Haas
Emily was an all-state clarinet player in high school before enrolling at UAA, where she’s pursuing a master’s degree in environmental law. She teaches clarinet, recorder and beginning piano.
Nick Kervin
Nick has a degree in jazz studies from the University of South Carolina and has been an active instructor and performer. He teaches piano, guitar, bass and ukulele.
Garrett Monroe
Garrett studied music at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has been
an active performer and a recording engineer at KSUA radio. He teaches
piano, guitar, bass and ukulele.
